Održana radionica „Adaptacija na klimatske promene“

Radionica "Adaptacija na klimatske promene" Beograd, 29. oktobar - WWF - Svetski fond za prirodu organizovao je dvodnevnu radionicu Adaptacija na klimatske promene u okviru projekta Parkovi Dinarskog luka. Osnovni cilj radionice je podizanje svesti o načinu na koji klimatske promene utiču na očuvanje životne sredine, ali i mogućnosti uključivanja klimatskih promena i prilagođavanja u strategije očuvanja prirode. U radionici su učestvovali predstavnici nevladinog sektora i državnih institucija iz Srbije i BiH. „Klimatske promene nisu više nešto što se događa negde u svetu, već su prisutne i ovde. Ove promene je nemoguće zaustaviti i iz tog razloga neophodno je primenjivati mere adaptacije kako bi se ublažili efekti klimatskih promena. Riječ je o natjecanju parkova u osmišljavanju najboljeg projekta, za koji je osnovni uvjet, osim da se odnosi na zaštićena područja u regiji, da u projektu sudjeluju najmanje dva parka iz dvije različite zemlje. Projekt treba pridonositi umrežavanju osoba koje rade u zaštićenim područjima te, dakako, pridonositi prioritetima očuvanja prirode u regiji. Second Dinaric Arc Parks International Conference begins with new Big Win

The signing ceremony of Big Win 2 will occur on December 2nd, 2013 in Budva. In addition to the Ministers of Environment from Dinaric Arc countries, the signing will be attended by the European Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Janez Potočnik who will also open the Dinaric Arc Parks conference. Five and a half years after the signing of the first Big Win , the document with which the ministers of six countries of the region made a commitment to declare new protected areas or increase some of the existing ones and to implement a set of activities with an aim to strengthen the existing protected areas such as the evaluation of  management effectiveness and the development of management  and business plans, WWF is proud to announce Big Win 2! This time the document will be signed by all the ministers of Dinaric Arc region. Svečanost potpisivanja Big Win 2 dogodit će se 2. decembra ove godine u Budvi, a uz ministre zaštite okoliša zemalja regije Dinarskog luka, potpisivanju će nazočiti i europski povjerenik za okoliš, gospodin Janez Potočnik, koji će ujedno i otvoriti konferenciju Parkovi Dinarskog luka Pet i pol godina nakon potpisivanja prvog Big Wina , dokumenta kojim su se ministri šest zemalja regije obvezali da će proglasiti nova zaštićena područja, povećati neka od postojećih, te primijeniti skup aktivnosti s ciljem jačanja postojećih zaštićenih područja poput vrednovanja učinkovitosti upravljanja, te razvoja planova upravljanja i poslovnih planova, WWF s ponosom najavljuje Big Win 2! Does White Flag for UNA NP guarantee arrival of Prince Albert of Monaco?

In the presence of municipal representatives, cantonal and federal authorities and Stjepan Mesić, a member of the Board of Directors of the Association GUWAA and an honorary citizen of the Bihać town, there was a ceremony of delivery of white flags on Štrbački buk, symbolizing purity of oceans, seas, rivers and lakes. White Flag for cleanliness of the river Una was handed over to Una NP Director by world record holder in snorkelling Kristijan Curavić within the Foundation Prince Albert of Monaco. Peter Torkler WWF and the Croatian Ministry of Environmental Protection in cooperation with the European Commission organized a meeting on the future financing of nature conservation and ecological network Natura 2000 in Croatia. We used this opportunity to talk to Peter Torkler from WWF Germany, one of the leading experts on the financing of Natura 2000 network. 1. Research results of the summer camp “Zasavica 2013”

In period from 1st to 10th of August 2013 Special Reserve “Zasavica” held research camp, in which participated students of Biology, members of the Scientific Research Society of Biology Students Josif Pancic from Novi Sad. Total of 20 participants were divided into the following sections: botanical, mycological, entomological, ornithological, mammalogical and herpetological. During research entomological section recorded new types of the order Lepidoptera in reserve: Polyommatus thersites, Boloria dia, Satyrium acaciae and Pyrgus armoricanus. Studied in more detail was for the first time fauna Orthoptera in Zasavica where was noted 46 species, including the Conocephalus dorsalis as a rare species in Europe. From the order of Dermaptera was found species Forficula smynensis which is beside Zasavica found in just one other location in Serbia. During odonatological research species Gomphus flavipes was found and this is the second report about that species in the reservation. Gomph

A dozen parks were presented at the fair A dozen parks from the region, as well as the “Dinaric Arc Parks” project, were presented at the International Ecology and Tourism Fair Ekobis held in mid – September, in Bihać, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Along with the hosts, The Una National Park, on the fair also exhibited Brijuni, Medvednica and Lonjsko Polje from Croatia and The Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Nature Areas that are managing Skakavac Natural Monument, Vrelo Bosne Natural Monument and Bijambare Protected Landscape. Ekobis was organized by the Chamber of Commerce of the Una-Sana Canton from 12th till 15th September. The fair was attended by nine county chambers from Croatia, three chambers from Serbia, Trenčiska regional chamber from Slovakia, and chambers of commerce from BiH.  As well as many exhibitors from the region and the rest of Europe, at the fair were also representatives of China and Indonesia. The Dinaric Arc Parks project was presented at the 5th International Ecotourism Fair called "The potential for the development of adventure tourism in Serbia" in Novi Sad, on 4th October. Visitors were able to see the general objectives and characteristics of the project. The main idea of the presentation was to create a brand Dinaric Arc Parks, but also on sustainable development. 26 projects were presented during the conference, organized by the National Association of Ecotourism, "Ecotourism Serbia". The objective was to review real possibilities of the offers and to analyze guidelines for the development of the adventure tourism  according with the principles of sustainable development. Centar za posjetitelje / Visitor center Predstavnici JP Nacionalni park Đerdap su u okviru projekta DanubeparksStep 2.0 (Parkovi Dunava)  tokom studijskog putovanja posetili Nacionalni park HoheTauern u Austriji. Reč je o nacionalnom parku koji se proteže preko saveznih pokrajinaTirola, Koruške i Salzburga i najveći je zaštićeni prostor u srednjoj Europi. Cilj studijske posete, koja je trajala je od 19. do 22. septembra 2013., bio je pre svega upoznavanje sa primenomsavremenih tehnologija i digitalnih alata u prezentaciji u vizitorskim centrima i moguća primena iskustva austrijskih kolega u uređenju i opremanju vizitorskih centara NP Đerdap. Assessment of values and benefits of Fruška Gora National Park

Various stakeholders gathered in Fruška Gora In the framework of the regional project Dinaric Arc Parks, WWF team has organized a workshop to assess the benefits of the protected areas in the Fruška Gora National Park on 2nd October 2013. It was first in a series of workshops that will be held in the protected areas of the Republic of Serbia. At the workshop, the various stakeholders had the opportunity to learn how to evaluate protected areas with specific methodologies PA -BAT (Protected Area Benefits Assessment Tool). The methodology helps organizations for nature protection to collect information on common benefits of protected areas. Despite the heavy fog, about 20 stakeholders from different sectors responded to the workshop. Their comments and suggestions contributed to figure out in what way and how Fruška Gora is recognized, by its values and ecosystem services that selflessly gives to individuals around it and to all other citizens of Serbia. Sadro Dujmovic, director of Brijuni NP, opened the meeting A two-day meeting of AdriaPAN representatives was organized in Brijuni National Park in Croatia on September 24, 2013. The event, titled "AdriaPan for EU MacroRegion - Adriatic Protected Areas Projects for Croatia EU admission", dealt with new opportunities for the protected areas of the Eastern Adriatic coast, considering the recent admission of the Republic of Croatia to the EU. U prisustvu predstavnika općinske, kantonalne i federalne vlasti, te Stjepana Mesića, člana Upravnog odbora Udruge GUWAA i počasnog građanina grada Bihaća, na Štrbačkom buku je održana svečanost uručenja Bijele zastave koja simbolizira čistoću okeana, mora, rijeka i jezera. Bijelu zastavu za čistoću rijeke Une NP Una je uručio svjetski rekorder u ronjenju na dah Kristijan Curavić u okviru Fondacije princa Alberta od Monaka. NP Una prvi je u BIH, a treći u svijetu park koji je dobio ovu nagradu. Prvo priznanje za čistoću podmorja dodijeljeno je Monacu u ruke princu Albertu, a drugo Solaris resortu u Šibeniku. Fruška Gora NP established Stakeholders Forum for ECST

Establishment of the Stakeholders Forum is a part of the initiative of Fruška Gora National Park to get Europarcs European Charter for Sustainable Tourism (ECST). All the active representatives from the tourism sector, as well as those from private, non-governmental and governmental sector need to become members of the Forum for tourism development in Fruška Gora NP with the aim to cooperate and promote touristic values on the territory of the Park. Our vision to merge the most attractive and most important tourist factors was supported by many representatives from tourist organizations, non-governmental organizations, wine-producers, owners of "Salaš" (specific local households that are for rent), hotels and restaurants. Research of population state of the endangered species Balkan lynx has started

Autochtonous population of the Balkan lynx (Lynx lynx balcanicus, Buresch, 1941) represents the most endangered subpopoulation of the Eurasian lynx in Europe. In 2011 it was concluded that there were only 20 to 40 adult animals left on the teritory of Montenegro, Albania and Kosovo. That is the reason why the Public Institution National Parks of Montenegro and the Center for Protection and Research of Birds of Montenegro have started the Recovery Programme of the Balkan Lynx. This action is conservation support for critically endangered subspecie of the Eurasian lynx. In July, these two institutions have begun with a research of the population state in Prokletije National Park. The surrounding consisted of hunting units is also included in the research that will soon start in national parks Durmitor and Biogradska Gora. Pogled s Buljme Nacionalni park Paklenica proglašen je 19. listopada 1949. godine, a ove godine obilježio je svoj 64. rođendan predstavljanjem prvog broja godišnjeg časopisa Paklina, koji će na popularan način prikazivati aktivnosti Parka, te projekcijom filma "Kameno srce" autora Borisa Šepera. Predstavnici Planinske satnije "Velebit" ovom prilikom prikazali su dokumentarni film 'Velebitska priča', autorice Jasmine Bijron, o pet ratnih godina provedenih na južnom Velebitu. Satnija se sastojala od planinara, špiljara, pripadnika Gorske službe spašavanja i gorskih vodiča koji su od studenog 1991. godine držali položaje na ličkom rubu Velebita. Protected Areas Benefit Assessment Workshop held in NP Triglav

Bled, 23. 9. 2013 -  Recognition of the values of protected areas and the importance of ecosystem services have become important issues in the field of nature conservation. On 20th September 2013, within the Dinaric Arc Parks project, WWF organized a workshop to assess the benefits of protected areas in the Triglav National Park. The aim of the project is to connect organizations and stakeholders who are working in the field of protected areas, through a series of conferences, study tours, workshops, training and other activities. At the workshop, the various stakeholders had the opportunity to learn how to evaluate protected areas with special methodology PA-BAT (Protected Area Benefits Assessment Tool). New Project of Dinaric Arc Parks in Albania

Works of Art in Kozara National Park

Kozara mountains as an inspiration for artists Whether in a natural, tourist or historical context, Kozara Mountain has always been an inspiration for artists who  created their artworks here. This summer a beautiful landscape hosted a group of artistic creators who created sculptures and installations from materials found in nature. Eleven artists from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia took part in this year's Land Art Laboratory "Ars Kozara" which was held in the Kozara NP. Timber and soil from the woods of Kozara were their only accessories in making sculptures and installations, which are available for all visitors. Wood as piece of art "Ars Kozara" is the project which is being held for the sixth year in a row. Artists create sculptures from natural materials, which  nature later decomposes and returns to its original state. Kozara je uvijek bila inspiracija umjetnicima Bilo u prirodnom, turističkom ili istorijskom smislu, planina Kozara oduvijek je bila inspiracija za umjetnike koji su na njoj stvarali svoja djela. Krajiška ljepotica ovog ljeta ugostila je grupu umjetničkih stvaraoca, koji su izradili skulpture i instalacije od materijala pronađenih u prirodi. Jedanaest umjetnika iz Bosne i Hercegovine i Srbije učestvovalo je na ovogodišnjem Land Art Laboratorijumu „Ars Kozara“, koji je održan u Nacionalnom parku "Kozara". Drvo i zemlja u šumama planine Kozare bio je njihov jedini pribor za izradu skulptura i instalacija, koje su na raspolaganju svim posjetiocima. Kozaračko kolo "Ars Kozara" je projekat koji se održava već šestu godinu. Umjetnici stvaraju skulpture isključivo od prirodnih materijala, koje kasnije priroda razgrađuje i vraća u prvobitno stanje. Staza Velikog maratona duga je 66 km Na Kozari je 06.10. održan Drugi međunarodni kozarski MTB maraton „Stazama pobjede“, koji je okupio više od 100 biciklista iz Hrvatske, Srbije, Crne Gore i BiH. Pobjednik maratona je Milo Pilski iz Hrvatske, a slijede ga Radosav Bezmarević iz Crne Gore, Alen Čizmek iz Hrvatske, Srđan Vasić iz BiH, te Vedran Berković iz Crne Gore. Pobjednik polumaratona u muškoj konkurenciji je Aleksa Crnčević iz BiH, a u ženskoj Mirjana Kovac izi Hrvatske. U ekipnoj konkurenciji najbolji plasman ostvario je klub domaćin - Biciklistički klub „Austronet prosajkling" iz Prijedora, a slijedile su ga kolege iz crnogorskog „Nik bajka". Stazu Velikog maratona dugu 66 kilometara vozili su samo muškarci, a stazu Malog maratona dugu 33 kilometra i muškarci i žene.Za pet najboljih u maratonu i polumatratonu dodijeljene su novčane nagrade, kao i za tri najbolje plasirane žene, i to od 100 do 500 KM, a medalje i diplome dobile su i najbolje ekipe. 2nd International MTB Marathon Kozara Is Completed

On 06. 10. 2013, in Kozara National Parks was held second International MTB Marathon named "Paths of Victory" which brought together more than 100 cyclists from Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Winner of marathon was Milo Pilski from Croatia, followed by Radosav Bezmarević from Montenegro, Alen Čizmek from Croatia, Srdjan Vasic from Bosnia and Vedran Berkovic from Montenegro. The winners of half marathon were Aleksa Crnčević from Bosnia in category of men, and Mirjana Kovac from Croatia in category of women. In the team competition the best ranking achieved local club – Bicycle Club "Austronet prosajkling" from Prijedor, followed by Montenegrin colleagues "Nik bajka". Tourism Fair Novi Sad The 46th International Tourism Fair in Novi Sad took place between 3rd and 6th October 2013. National park Đerdap (Serbia) and Nature Park Portia De Fijere from Romania presented themselves at the stand of national parks of Serbia, as a introduction for the future integrated activities in the field of tourism.  Gastronomic specialties from the both banks of the Đerdap, as well as printed promotional materials about protected areas in Serbia and Romania directly presented a variety of programs to potential tourists and sparked the attention of fair visitors.  The stand has been visited by tourism journalists from twelve countries who discusses current activities and plans for NP Đerdap in future with the director of PI "Nacionalni park Đerdap" Srdjan Stefanovic and executive director for protected areas in Romsilva, Dragos Mihajlo. Summertime on Medvedgrad

Concert of Jasna Bilušić Public Institution Nature Park Medvednica has taken a number of activities independently or in collaboration with other organizations in order to establish a large number of facilities and to attract visitors to Medvedgrad, especially to the future visitor centre of Medvednica Nature Park. Medvedgrad is a medieval city rebuilt in the last quarter of the 20th century, managed by Public Institution Nature Park Medvednica since the end of 2010. Our goal for Medvedgrad is to become spectacular attraction for local and foreign visitors, which recorded a large increase in Zagreb (city break tourism is global trend) in the past couple of years. To achieve those objectives, apart from renovation works, we need to produce a high-quality design and implementation of all direct and indirect interpretive content. Plitvice Lakes  - D irector of the Una National Park, Mr. Amarildo Mulić  and employee in the administration of the Una National Park,  Mr.  Haris Hadžihajdarević,  together with reporters  visited Plitvice Lakes National Park where they presented the project " Greenway Tour 2 Parks '’. Main objective of the project is connection of these two national parks through tourism offers and promotion of tourism in Bihać and the Una- Sana Canton. During the presentation of " Greenway Tour 2 Parks ", author of the project Daniela Bujanović said that the Plitvice Lakes NP  and NP  Una   should be connected by old rural forest road s which would trace a large population of tourists , cyclists and hikers. This would allow visitors easier access to those places, villages and hamlets that are not on the main roads, to really enjoy them. Haris Hadžihajdarević , Una National Park
